Expansion
The man awakens to multiple alarms. Some are programmed machines set to Midwestern time while others belong to the shrill frequency of cats who demand food and attention. There is nothing unusual about the early parts of the morning as it is a working man's routine.
Stretching and clothing himself in ridiculous garments, he prepares for the daily run. The usual route of expansion occurs and his travelin' is both exhaustive and rejuvenating.
Urban delights of a hot shower prepare him for his day job. Dressing in black, wearing suspenders, a shiny badge and sunglasses, he is hidden. Only a few can understand the artist and hear the sounds of the paranormal.
Amongst the library are many stories. The "Seahorse Story" is his favorite because it is one of struggles and persistence. Continuous motions of expansion bring him coming back home. It is here, in a dark blue, he has found these keys to do much more than the mundane. He will color and de-color the sky with paint and instruments. Creations by expansion of ideas are given life by his desire.

This album was written with an emphasis on guitar progressions and arpeggios. Use of only two similar guitars (one in drop “c” tuning) paired with MIDI systems that are either dependent or independent keyboard/synthesizers/controllers/sequencers, I wanted to create an expansion of my concepts/vocabulary by picking out unfamiliar/challenging jazz chords and various arpeggios. There is a lucid, sketchy, irregular and yet natural phrasing to all of this music which in essence is often how I approach many of my compositions/recordings.
